The Rude Pundit makes a great point with this one. the right is about to attack the liberals for saying I told you so about the war, they will say that if we had supported the war then we wouldnt be in this mess, while still claiming that we are only a few fringe nutjobs. The rude one in a far more delicate way than usual lays it out, heres a bit of the article.

War. We weren't happy with sanctions that decimated the poorest people in Iraq.
We weren't happy that the President wouldn't allow weapons inspectors to finish
their work.We weren't happy with this war to start with, saying, for instance,
that a civil war was the inevitable outcome. We're not happy to be proven right.
We're not happy, simply, when people are dying for no good cause, with no good
outcome on the horizon, and no good way out. Frankly, oh, dear, sweet right
wing, on the whole, we'd've rather been wrong and had tens of thousands of
people not killed, tens of thousands of America soldiers not wounded. We'd've

maybe, someone oughta pay a political price for being so goddamned wrong.
Instead, though, the right's gonna try to turn it around and blame the left and

34% approval, beats cheneys 18%
CBS news reports that Bushs is now at a new personal record with 34% job approval rating. ha and it points out that Clintons approval rating actually increased durring the lewinsky scandal.
ok i just checked the Polling Report and they show that the CBS poll is among the lowest of any of the polling groups with some as high as 47% approve 50% dont. I think the Nation, the Progressive, Z magazine and others need to start poling in order to counter Fox and the right wing that keeps pushing the average numbers back up. those mags probably would show like a 3% approval if they used their own audience as tests. Eh but then we would get accused of distorting the truth, which we would counter with, well yeah but only to counter their lies, but that gets you into a mess we would rather ignore, so probably better just to leave the polls to the big boys, saves a lot of money i bet too.

myspace
MySpace is an interesting phenomenon, I just started playing with it this weekend so I used it way to much but there are seriously people who spend all day long on it. Now it can be a great way to meet people far away with the same interests or you can find people right in your own town that you may not have ever met otherwise, now that side is cool. you can make real friends with this, the downside is that some people go to extremes and have cut off all real contact and talk on myspace all day. Then again within any group there are the extremists who go to far and become anti-social, its going to happen and it really isnt a concern of mine. theres athletes who stop doing anything but training and this is seen as a positive thing by society, but if you spend all day talking to people on a computer then its a problem and your anti-social, while being very social. which is a weird twist. eh whatever, i stuck a link at the bottom in case your curious who I really am. Oh and youll notice that I use a pen name here, if you had read Hitchhickers Guide like I told you then you would have known i use a pen name a long time ago. Ok well have a good one.

forget impeachment
I want a public beheading, yeah sure its a human rights violation but we are dealing with a man who has sent 2,200 of his own people to die and has overseen numerous exectutions. Not to mention uncounted thousands maybe a hundred thousand, Iraqi people, and Afganistan and then those who died around the world because we cut off food because they promoted safe sex instead of absitnece. He has said that the geneva convention doesnt apply to him so lets show his what it means to not have the geneva convention apply. Lets do a good old fashion beheading with an Axe. I say use an axe because a guiltine is too impersonal. A sword is used by an expert when you want it to be quick and clean but for our buddy george i would recomend an axe, legend has it that a guy with a black hood and a mask is not always the most accurate of lumberjacks, and so it often takes several swings to get the job done, now thats nasty. so anyway thas my recomendation.
Oh and what brought about this new idea? well the fact that were now selling our ports which may represent a major national security risk and our secretary of defence who is also on the Committee on Foreign Investments in the United States says he was never informed about it untill this weekend. Bush is claim that he doesnt know shit, which as a rule I'll agree with. But if the Committee on Foreign Investments doesnt know about this then who does? who gave this the rubber stamp? Impeachment time
Ok So Ive now seen Polls saying that the majority of people now believe we were lied to when entering Iraq, and that if Bush lied he should be impeached. And now a majority believes that if Bush knowingly tapped phones illegaly than he should be impeached. admitedly its probably the same group of people that think he needs to be impeached if certian criteria are met and so far both of these seem like obvious truths to me. To put this in perspective, the majority of americans never wanted to impech Clinton, hell Clinton had a better aproval rating durring his impeachment than Bush does durring his war. Oh I need to stop calling it a war, congress never declared war, dont forget that. Congress gave the president the athority to use millitry force, thats not a declaration of war. I just use the word war cause its a lot quicker to write.

The latest one being one of the holiest shitte sites in Iraq, a 1,200 year old mosque with a gold dome. Now it is a pile of rubble and possible will be the rallying cry for the shittes. like an Iraqi Alamo. Already there have been counter attacks against sunni mosques and even prisons being brought out of jail and shot in retrobution for the attack.
The side of me that hates bush, you know the side above my feet, even has to wonder if these "insurgents" dressed as police were send by the US what does Bush want, he wants a "long war" thats what hes been calling it lately and what would extend it more than a civil war? I doubt that they would have been stupid enough to actually send it our troops and claim it was insurgents but I wouldnt be shocked if our commanders knowingly did not try to stop such things and possibly even encourage it. Because I would have thought that the to sects could have worked together at least untill they kicked the US out. But then again they may have come to the realization that we aren't leaving untill '09 and so they might as well start ignoring us.
For those living in Iraq, I wish you well and I hope that you can pull through these dark times, and I'm sorry I wish I had done more to influence people to vote against Bush. Please forgive me. UAE is everywhere!
The UAE is blowing up right now, Everywhere you look somebodys talking about the place, If the UAE was a Rapper then Eminem would be signin his ass right now and little white girls would be screaming for him be tomarrow. Of course UAE is not, and I bet 95% of the country couldnt even point to it on a map. Theres plenty of people who realize that this entire thing about selling our ports is probably a bad idea. Now to be fair to the UAE, there is every possiblity that this state-run company will do a fantastic job and we have nothing to worry about, the problem is that we don't know. Bush has given us his usual just "trust me" answer, well I didn't trust you from the day you were selected by the supreme court and you have given me absolutely no reason to change that view if not strengthen it considerably. Seriously why the fuck should I trust Bush? has he ever done anything to lead you to think that he does a lot a research and fact checking before he commits to something? Im not against the UAE, I'm for convincing us that the UAE should have control of our ports.

What the hell happened that our "war president" is being attacked by the civil liberties folk (like myself) because of a lapse in National security, while George "Bomb the A-rabs" Bush is calling us racists? Then we would probably pull out the classic line from Full Metal Jacket "texas, god damn, only two things come from texas steers and queers and you dont't look like a steer to me, kinda narrows it down doesnt it?" and which point Bush would either have alread called the SS (secret service not the Nazis) as soon as he heard the qord queer, or else he would mutter, "dont mess with texas" and we would all laugh our asses off at him. Ok well ill give a very brief overview. Guy works at a federal building, he is a prominent anti-war activist. Puts large signs on his car with anti-war mesages. A while back he had a profanity on one of the stickers, someone complained so they looked up the laws to see. There was no law against the profanity or any political stickers on a personal vehicle. He saw the other persons point and took the profane sticker off the car. So then DHS come to tell him that he must remove the signs from his car. He wisely has a co-worker come with him and brings a tape recorder. he informs the officer that he is taping the conversation. if you want the transcript well go to the link above I already told you to read it for yourself. fuck the thought police.

This time its not about Cheney, this time its about the florida and now Colorado laws which allow you to shoot anyone that makes you feel threatened. Great plan people lets lower the crime rate by legalizing murder, G.G. Alin had an album named Legalize Murder who would have thought that 20 years later it came true.
So there has already been one man killed by this law. But my thought was that Bush goes to florida alot, and he scares the hell outta me, does that count as justification?
Im going to get dragged away by the thought police, i mean DHS one of these days.

UN Secratary General Kofi Annan has stated that the must close Guantanamo bay. Or at least give the 500 detanees trials. They have been held for as many as 4 years without seeing their day in court. Ill also say that after that kind of treatment if they weren't terrorists before they will be now. They might have been average civilians now they are probably out for revenge. Or just as likely they just want to get home. Of course the white house has used it same worn out excuse that its a war on terror and they are terrorists so we can do anything we want, fuck the UN. The problem is the UN and the world is saying, we know some are terrorists and so you can send them to jail but some are not, you need to have a meeting with lawyers and judges and maybe even a jury where you take each person one at a time and figure out if they have done something illegal. Its called a trial, they talk about those in the Constitution also mentions getting to the trial in a speedy manner, thats in the 6th amendment. Our leaders should read that sometime seeing as its his sworn duty to uphold it. thats the presidents number one duty, to uphold the constitution, not protecting us, although hes done terrible at both.

Not getting better for Shotgun Cheney
Now even FAUX news (thx Crooks and Liars) is talking about the Cheney drinking before hunting, I will say that most hunters I know do drink a bit, but they usually go off to kill very early in the morning so they dont drink till after either in celebration or to drown the sorrow of not killing (?), either way they drink about the same. So the point is that the right hand of the Bush propaganda machine talked about the posiblity of Cheney drinking before hand. They tried to say that he doesnt have a history of drinking, the other guy said yeah thats true other than when he got those 2 dui's oh and when he got kicked out of yale for excesive partying. Actually that last part makes me dislike him a little less, some say not to use double nagatives but its more accurate in that case. its not that i like him more, cause i still dislike him but slightly less. I should work on Rambling less, but then Id have to change the name. Was he drunk? only a few people know and they're not about to talk.

I could just stop reading 1984 and just read the newspaper, its not that different. Of course theres the big illegal spying program but heres another one that Ive often wondered about, I knew that E-mails weren't secure but I had never thought about this. Truth Dig has reported that every search is recorded, which makes sence because they alway have the most search items and thing like that so they must monitor the searches. But imagine how easy it must be to track thought criminals when there is that level of survelence at the corporate level? Imagine how easy it would be for them to have red flags that would alert the autorities if you search for the wrong things. I wish I was just being paranoid but I really fear that within a few years we will have every click accounted for, and if you look for the wrong things to often or a certian combination then they will come for you.
