Journalism

I've been thinking of possible career/education paths and I have often been interested in journalism but I don't consider myself a good enough writer for that profession. Who knows.

Practice makes perfect. Just keep writing, no matter what.

What makes you want to study journalism? Or have you studied something else and now you want to be a journalist? Just curious. I teach journalism writing at a university, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask away! I hope I can help!

Thanks Folks. Its nice to hear a bit of encouragement.

Oh and I'm not that serious about it, journalism seems like it could be fun if your at the right place. exposing the truth for the public good. The fourth branch and all that crap that we haven't seen in years (other than the late great Molly).

Thanks Again.

Thanks for responding back to me!

I am one of those idealistic people who still believes journalism can be the fourth estate and that is what I teach my students. It looks like you even see beyond the beauty into the beast of what journalism is now-a-days...

In light of that, and in light of the fact that you have a blog and as such are at least somewhat tech savvy, have you thought about multi-media communications? Journalism training should be intense and hard, so if you go to the right school, it won't be easy, but it looks to me like the trend in journalism is heading toward multi-media, online, web-based journalism.

Just a little follow up for you. Seriously, let me know if you have any questions or want some more information or other people to talk to...
