Blame the liberals

The Rude Pundit makes a great point with this one. the right is about to attack the liberals for saying I told you so about the war, they will say that if we had supported the war then we wouldnt be in this mess, while still claiming that we are only a few fringe nutjobs. The rude one in a far more delicate way than usual lays it out, heres a bit of the article.

So let's just say it up front here: over here in Liberalburg, we weren't
happy when Ronald Reagan was cozying up to Saddam Hussein back in the 1980s. We
weren't happy that the United States was backing a brutal, murderous, raping
thug, giving him weapons and such. We weren't happy with the first Persian Gulf
War. We weren't happy with sanctions that decimated the poorest people in Iraq.
We weren't happy that the President wouldn't allow weapons inspectors to finish
their work.We weren't happy with this war to start with, saying, for instance,
that a civil war was the inevitable outcome. We're not happy to be proven right.
We're not happy, simply, when people are dying for no good cause, with no good
outcome on the horizon, and no good way out. Frankly, oh, dear, sweet right
wing, on the whole, we'd've rather been wrong and had tens of thousands of
people not killed, tens of thousands of America soldiers not wounded. We'd've
eaten the crow and, trust us, wonderful, fair right wing, you'd've shoved our
faces in the plate of that black bird. But since we were right, maybe, just
maybe, someone oughta pay a political price for being so goddamned wrong.
Instead, though, the right's gonna try to turn it around and blame the left and
those who "didn't support the war" for its failure. Which would, for all intents
and purposes, finally seal the
on Vietnam redux.

Thats pretty much says it for me. there more there and you should read the article but thats my favorite part. thanks again to the Rude One.

DNC video

DNC wiretapping video
watch this, and thank you Bush Flash for pointing this out, a great video.

34% approval, beats cheneys 18%

CBS news reports that Bushs is now at a new personal record with 34% job approval rating. ha and it points out that Clintons approval rating actually increased durring the lewinsky scandal.
ok i just checked the Polling Report and they show that the CBS poll is among the lowest of any of the polling groups with some as high as 47% approve 50% dont. I think the Nation, the Progressive, Z magazine and others need to start poling in order to counter Fox and the right wing that keeps pushing the average numbers back up. those mags probably would show like a 3% approval if they used their own audience as tests. Eh but then we would get accused of distorting the truth, which we would counter with, well yeah but only to counter their lies, but that gets you into a mess we would rather ignore, so probably better just to leave the polls to the big boys, saves a lot of money i bet too.

MySpace is an interesting phenomenon, I just started playing with it this weekend so I used it way to much but there are seriously people who spend all day long on it. Now it can be a great way to meet people far away with the same interests or you can find people right in your own town that you may not have ever met otherwise, now that side is cool. you can make real friends with this, the downside is that some people go to extremes and have cut off all real contact and talk on myspace all day. Then again within any group there are the extremists who go to far and become anti-social, its going to happen and it really isnt a concern of mine. theres athletes who stop doing anything but training and this is seen as a positive thing by society, but if you spend all day talking to people on a computer then its a problem and your anti-social, while being very social. which is a weird twist. eh whatever, i stuck a link at the bottom in case your curious who I really am. Oh and youll notice that I use a pen name here, if you had read Hitchhickers Guide like I told you then you would have known i use a pen name a long time ago. Ok well have a good one.

worse than gitmo

International Herald Tribune along with the NYT are reporting that the prisons in Afganistan are as bad or worse than guantanamo bay. serioustl what is wrong with our country? just remember they hate us for our freedom, right...

DoD staff notes after 9/11

Outraged Moderates
This is notes from someone working with Rumsfeld after 9/11 talking about where to attack in retaliation. take a wild guess who was mentioned, yes Bin Laden is in there and that guy that had nothing to do with 9/11 but is the one of the two we did try to catch, Saddam. not exactly shocking but its nice to see it writen out for you.

Disgruntled Chemist

New Site (to me)
And actually they have a hillarious list of the steps that will be taken in this latest scandal.
Seeing the Future
check it out its pretty funny, and sad...

more about the port, and i dont mean wine

Another FDL
This has a little peice of the law about what the government does when a foreign company wants to buy an american company in which national security could be an issue. it states pretty clearly what needs to be done. The question is, if Bush isnt lying... ok ill give you a moment to stop laughing, so if bush isnt lying then who approved this?

Break out the axes and the ski masks.

Dickfest Poetry Contest Winners!

ok Im stealing this straight from FDL or FireDog Lake for those not in the loop. They had a poetry contest for best poem about the Cheney shooting. Some really funny stuff, so here is the top three.

Because Meteor Blades suggested it, and because it damned near killed me to declare a winner, we are also announcing the runner ups.The bronze medal goes to:
The Ballad of Swagger and Scowler
They came from Wyoming and Texas, addicted to
power and drink;
They bullied and lied, they tortured and spied till most folks
were too scared to blink;
But when Scowl shot a hunter he thought was a bird and
Swag let New Orleans drown,
Folks finally saw what these guys really were: a crusty old
coot and a clown.

by a littlemusicalityplease

In second place, and by only the smallest fraction (one vote), our silver medalist is:
An accident it must have been,
And not a planned attack
Because Dick shot him in the face
Instead of in the back.

by rageneau

And the gold goes to:
If epitaphs were polygraphs,
This, terse and edifying,
Would crown the veep in final sleep:
Here lies Big Time--still lying.

simply awsome. thanks to everyone involved.

forget impeachment

I want a public beheading, yeah sure its a human rights violation but we are dealing with a man who has sent 2,200 of his own people to die and has overseen numerous exectutions. Not to mention uncounted thousands maybe a hundred thousand, Iraqi people, and Afganistan and then those who died around the world because we cut off food because they promoted safe sex instead of absitnece. He has said that the geneva convention doesnt apply to him so lets show his what it means to not have the geneva convention apply. Lets do a good old fashion beheading with an Axe. I say use an axe because a guiltine is too impersonal. A sword is used by an expert when you want it to be quick and clean but for our buddy george i would recomend an axe, legend has it that a guy with a black hood and a mask is not always the most accurate of lumberjacks, and so it often takes several swings to get the job done, now thats nasty. so anyway thas my recomendation.

Oh and what brought about this new idea? well the fact that were now selling our ports which may represent a major national security risk and our secretary of defence who is also on the Committee on Foreign Investments in the United States says he was never informed about it untill this weekend. Bush is claim that he doesnt know shit, which as a rule I'll agree with. But if the Committee on Foreign Investments doesnt know about this then who does? who gave this the rubber stamp? Scott McClellan seems to know cause he's has assured the american people that a "rigorous review... for national security concerns" has taken place, its just that no one was there. Yeah give the whole lot of 'em the Axe, litteraly.

Impeachment time

Ok So Ive now seen Polls saying that the majority of people now believe we were lied to when entering Iraq, and that if Bush lied he should be impeached. And now a majority believes that if Bush knowingly tapped phones illegaly than he should be impeached. admitedly its probably the same group of people that think he needs to be impeached if certian criteria are met and so far both of these seem like obvious truths to me. To put this in perspective, the majority of americans never wanted to impech Clinton, hell Clinton had a better aproval rating durring his impeachment than Bush does durring his war. Oh I need to stop calling it a war, congress never declared war, dont forget that. Congress gave the president the athority to use millitry force, thats not a declaration of war. I just use the word war cause its a lot quicker to write.

Senator Obama

Ok I did not realise that we have only one black man in the senate, and he is only the fifth in our history. thats pathetic people. our nation is what maybe 20% black and our senate is 1% thats just not right.

Oh and I like the guy, this quote says enough.

When asked if he feels burdened by others' expectations, Obama replied, "I remind them that's a pretty high-class problem to have. I remind them that the people who are burdened don't have health care and see their kid get sick."

Iraq, another day a another problem

and the other shoe drops...
Yahoo News
So in case Iraq was starting to get to quiet and boring for you with just an occupation and all, we could have the start of a civil war. There is a growing number of attacks against mosques. The latest one being one of the holiest shitte sites in Iraq, a 1,200 year old mosque with a gold dome. Now it is a pile of rubble and possible will be the rallying cry for the shittes. like an Iraqi Alamo. Already there have been counter attacks against sunni mosques and even prisons being brought out of jail and shot in retrobution for the attack.
The side of me that hates bush, you know the side above my feet, even has to wonder if these "insurgents" dressed as police were send by the US what does Bush want, he wants a "long war" thats what hes been calling it lately and what would extend it more than a civil war? I doubt that they would have been stupid enough to actually send it our troops and claim it was insurgents but I wouldnt be shocked if our commanders knowingly did not try to stop such things and possibly even encourage it. Because I would have thought that the to sects could have worked together at least untill they kicked the US out. But then again they may have come to the realization that we aren't leaving untill '09 and so they might as well start ignoring us.
For those living in Iraq, I wish you well and I hope that you can pull through these dark times, and I'm sorry I wish I had done more to influence people to vote against Bush. Please forgive me. And to the "insurgents" who are shooting at my friends, I really wish you would stop shooting at my friends, but I can understand why you are. There are probably better ways but I can understand why you feel you need to fight and I can respect that. I hope you can have peace soon. lets stop the killing.

I sure hope this is wrong...

ADS again
Did the UAE get our ports in exchange for building a space station there? read the article cause I havent yet and let me know.

A Trillion Dollars

After Downing Street Ok I dont like doing this but Im copying this entire post, its short but makes a hell of a point.

There are 86,400 seconds in. . . . . one day.
1 million seconds in. . . . . . . . . 11.5 days.
1 billion seconds in. . . . . . . . . 31.5 years.
1 trillion seconds in. . . . . . . . .31,500 years.

The next time you read in the papers something about a trillion dollars, consider that that number represents a-dollar-a-second for 31,500 years, from the age of mastodons and woolley mammoths all the way down to the present!

So our yearly millitary budget, not counting the war, is about a dollar a second for the next 15,250 years? give or take a millenia.

UAE is everywhere!

The UAE is blowing up right now, Everywhere you look somebodys talking about the place, If the UAE was a Rapper then Eminem would be signin his ass right now and little white girls would be screaming for him be tomarrow. Of course UAE is not, and I bet 95% of the country couldnt even point to it on a map. Theres plenty of people who realize that this entire thing about selling our ports is probably a bad idea. Now to be fair to the UAE, there is every possiblity that this state-run company will do a fantastic job and we have nothing to worry about, the problem is that we don't know. Bush has given us his usual just "trust me" answer, well I didn't trust you from the day you were selected by the supreme court and you have given me absolutely no reason to change that view if not strengthen it considerably. Seriously why the fuck should I trust Bush? has he ever done anything to lead you to think that he does a lot a research and fact checking before he commits to something? Im not against the UAE, I'm for convincing us that the UAE should have control of our ports.
All of us liberals are of course saying that its not a racial issue which is true. What the hell happened that our "war president" is being attacked by the civil liberties folk (like myself) because of a lapse in National security, while George "Bomb the A-rabs" Bush is calling us racists? Seriously call me a racist, Im pretty sure that the black kids and the muslims that I was partying with this weekend would laugh at you Bush. Then we would probably pull out the classic line from Full Metal Jacket "texas, god damn, only two things come from texas steers and queers and you dont't look like a steer to me, kinda narrows it down doesnt it?" and which point Bush would either have alread called the SS (secret service not the Nazis) as soon as he heard the qord queer, or else he would mutter, "dont mess with texas" and we would all laugh our asses off at him. At this point we would probably sit down, someone might offer him a funnel of beer and we would find out if he still drinks. then we would start grilling him about foreign and domestic policy and he would get very angry. ok this has gone on long enough cause Bush wasnt at the party this weekend. so Peace!

GOP definition of Treason

Spittle and Ink has posted this outline of what is and what is not treason, according to the Republicans...
Im think I've seen this before but it obviously has been recently updated. Its humorous, or it would be if it weren't so damn true...

I like this guy

Boise Weekly
just read the article, I could sum it up for you but I want you to come to your own conclusions.

Ok well ill give a very brief overview. Guy works at a federal building, he is a prominent anti-war activist. Puts large signs on his car with anti-war mesages. A while back he had a profanity on one of the stickers, someone complained so they looked up the laws to see. There was no law against the profanity or any political stickers on a personal vehicle. He saw the other persons point and took the profane sticker off the car. So then DHS come to tell him that he must remove the signs from his car. He wisely has a co-worker come with him and brings a tape recorder. he informs the officer that he is taping the conversation. if you want the transcript well go to the link above I already told you to read it for yourself. fuck the thought police.

The Number One Sons B-day

Yup yesterday was Washingtons b-day. or at least its the day we get out of work in honor of George Washington. So the The Rude One had a nice article about what the Real George W. would do if he came back right now. Its got some great quotes and links in the article.

Shoot First ask questions later

This time its not about Cheney, this time its about the florida and now Colorado laws which allow you to shoot anyone that makes you feel threatened. Great plan people lets lower the crime rate by legalizing murder, G.G. Alin had an album named Legalize Murder who would have thought that 20 years later it came true.

So there has already been one man killed by this law. But my thought was that Bush goes to florida alot, and he scares the hell outta me, does that count as justification?

Im going to get dragged away by the thought police, i mean DHS one of these days.

Gitmo needs to close, no shit

UN Secratary General Kofi Annan has stated that the must close Guantanamo bay. Or at least give the 500 detanees trials. They have been held for as many as 4 years without seeing their day in court. Ill also say that after that kind of treatment if they weren't terrorists before they will be now. They might have been average civilians now they are probably out for revenge. Or just as likely they just want to get home. Of course the white house has used it same worn out excuse that its a war on terror and they are terrorists so we can do anything we want, fuck the UN. The problem is the UN and the world is saying, we know some are terrorists and so you can send them to jail but some are not, you need to have a meeting with lawyers and judges and maybe even a jury where you take each person one at a time and figure out if they have done something illegal. Its called a trial, they talk about those in the Constitution also mentions getting to the trial in a speedy manner, thats in the 6th amendment. Our leaders should read that sometime seeing as its his sworn duty to uphold it. thats the presidents number one duty, to uphold the constitution, not protecting us, although hes done terrible at both.

Letterman, wow

Ok silly humor at Dick's expence. Deffinatly funny though. heres the like to where else? Crooks and Liars of course!

Support our troops?

apparently supporting our troops means the smallest pay raise since 1994, thanks bush, ya Ass.

I feel kinda stupid cause Im about to post three things in a row straight from Crooks and Liars, but it is a great site. check it out often.

Not getting better for Shotgun Cheney

Now even FAUX news (thx Crooks and Liars) is talking about the Cheney drinking before hunting, I will say that most hunters I know do drink a bit, but they usually go off to kill very early in the morning so they dont drink till after either in celebration or to drown the sorrow of not killing (?), either way they drink about the same. So the point is that the right hand of the Bush propaganda machine talked about the posiblity of Cheney drinking before hand. They tried to say that he doesnt have a history of drinking, the other guy said yeah thats true other than when he got those 2 dui's oh and when he got kicked out of yale for excesive partying. Actually that last part makes me dislike him a little less, some say not to use double nagatives but its more accurate in that case. its not that i like him more, cause i still dislike him but slightly less. I should work on Rambling less, but then Id have to change the name. Was he drunk? only a few people know and they're not about to talk.

Inflatable Dartboard

As If said before Im a sucker for a great name and heres one, Inflatable Dartboard. Little orange vests
So the idea is to have tiny orange hunting jackets to wear on your finger is salute, much like the Reps had the blue finger salute durring the SOTU. Great idea and Ill be adding this site to my links. One comment did ask which finger it should go on, Cheney does love the one finger salute.

oh wait it was Bush that did the flipped the bird on camera, Cheney was,"go fuck yourself." oh well close enough

too much orwell

I could just stop reading 1984 and just read the newspaper, its not that different. Of course theres the big illegal spying program but heres another one that Ive often wondered about, I knew that E-mails weren't secure but I had never thought about this. Truth Dig has reported that every search is recorded, which makes sence because they alway have the most search items and thing like that so they must monitor the searches. But imagine how easy it must be to track thought criminals when there is that level of survelence at the corporate level? Imagine how easy it would be for them to have red flags that would alert the autorities if you search for the wrong things. I wish I was just being paranoid but I really fear that within a few years we will have every click accounted for, and if you look for the wrong things to often or a certian combination then they will come for you.

Big Brother Is Watching You

Soft on Terrorism

The typical attack against the Dems is that they aren't willing to put us into massive debt with China in order to for more millitary waste. Cause what we need to stop terrorism is the Republicans in charge and a massive millitary budger, yeah that would have stopped 9/11, wait what they were in power and we were spending insane amounts of money on our millitary? really the ones who are going to track down the attacker were in power before and durring and they still haven't caught them? oh. But now they talk about terror all the time so I bet they are doing everything possible to secure us right? like stoping an Arab corporation from a nation where some of the 9/11 highjackers were from from buying ports in six US cities, when the shipping routes are already considered one of our most vunerable entrances. Yeah those republicans would never allow that, they're fighting a "war on terror" or sorry "the long war" wait no they aren't trying to stop it at all. Maybe they care more about profits than anything else. These are the people who labeled the axis of evil, the ones who have taught us to treat all Arabs as terrorist and then they turn around an allow a company from a, lets call it less than secure, nation to but ports in the US. And people still believe that the Republicans are interested in security.
heres the link, thanks Buzzflash and WOPO .

the metaphor that goes bang

So here goes our damn Liberal media, they're really laying into Cheney for shooting his friend in the face, by blaming Whittington for getting shot. They claim that because he has now had a heart attack that we can't joke about it.
Some Herald, doesnt really matter which has this story first saying that the jokes arent funny and that its the guys own fault. So fuck you herald.

Ok I'm no hunter but I know plenty of them and I know that if your out hunting and you "announce yourself" then you will might get shot intentionally. A huge part of hunting is being quite, hell Elmer Fudd knows that " you have to be very very quite when your huntning wabbits." But apparently our press core doesn't understand that. Our press is pathetic, a man is walking up behind his friend, probably so he wont be in his line of fire, and apparently Cheney was observant enough to hear the little quail take flight behind him but didn't notice the Man wearing Blaze Orange that was behind it. From my driving experience he may have noticed him at the last moment and inadvertantly aim at him, its called target fixation people will look at the car thats crashing in front of them and drive into the accident because there eyes were drawn towards it. It happens in a race car all the time, you need to teach your self to look where you want to go never look at the accident. So Cheney probably spun around and as he pulled the trigger saw the orange and was drawn towards it, its only a guess but even if its true it still doesn't change anything.
But back to my original point which was that our lame ass press is going along with the story that the other guy is responsible to tell the others where he is, and thats bullshit. The guy with the gun is responsible. End of story you have a gun your responsible for what you shoot, intentional or otherwise, you dont fucking shoot if you dont know whats around you. And if your friend just got a bird and should be coming back soon then dont turn around and fire blindly. I just want to flog the shit out of anyone who tries to claim this isnt Cheney's fault. Now its not the end of the world that it happend, the problem is the responce, or lack thereof. If Cheney had come out within hours of the incident and said "My fellow americans, I have been involved in a hunting accident. I was in Texas hunting quail and accidentaly shot my friend. I made a terrible mistake that will haunt me for the rest of my life but right now there is a man in the hospital who has been shot, please keep him in your prayers tonight." He's got better writers but something like that would have put an entirely different spin on it. I probably wouldn't even have made any jokes... ok i wouldnt have made nearly as many jokes. Just fucking admit when you make a mistake, everyone screws up from time to time it happens were only human but what I can't stand is when people wont admit when they make a mistake, that is simply cowardice. Its the kind of thing that a nine year old does, its not what the leaders of the free world should do. If Cheney had a soul he would simply tell the american people and his friend that he made a mistake and that there are no words to convey the sence of sorrow and regret that he feels, thats a sign of character. But as has been shown many times character is some thing this administration knows nothing about.

Robin Williams

A cousin of mine just sent me a rather disturbing E-mail. It was Robin Williams "plan" of thing to fix at home and abroad. I had to send an immediate response. here is the email followed by my response, I did remove my cousins name for confidentiality. It was originally formatted better but youll still get the point.

You gotta love Robin Williams......Even if he's nuts! Leave it to RobinWilliams to come up with the perfectplan. What we need now is for ourUN Ambassador to stand up andrepeat this message.Robin Williams' plan...(Hard toargue with this logic!)"I see a lot of people yelling for peacebut I have not heard of a plan forpeace. So, here's one plan."1) "The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past &present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of those "good ole boys", we will never "interfere" again.2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea, the Middle East, and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one allowed sneaking through holes in the fence.3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of whom or where they are. They're illegal!!! France will welcome them.4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit!!!! No one from a terrorist nation will be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be availableto anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.5) No foreign "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home baby.6) The US will make a strong effortto become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere." They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or givento the army. The people who needit most get very little, if anything.9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island someplace. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH...learn it...or LEAVE....Now, isn't that a winner of a plan?"The Statue of Liberty is no longersaying "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses." She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, 'you want a piece of me?' "If you agree with the above forwardit to friends...If not, and I would be amazed, DELETE it!!

And then My response.

I need to respond to this. And you will see that I took the time to read this so please read my response entirely. If you question the validity of anything I have writen let me know and I will send further Information. Im going to respond to each point in the order they were presented.1) If we don't wan to be seen as the hypocritical imperialists of the world then apologizing for attacking the soverign nation of Iraq would be a good start, I realize that Williams said this sarcasticly but that parts a good idea2) Removing our Troops from foreign countries is a great idea, a few more along the border would be ok, but if we sold off all of our bases and reduced our rediculous military budget then maybe we could work on more important issues. And if you think that we need to continue the arms race so that China doesnt surpass us then just realise that the US spends almost as much on its millitary as the rest of the world COMBINED. China is going to bury us econimicly because we keep borrowing money from them to pay for our wars.3+4)As far as the illegal aliens go just remeber illegal aliens have always been a problem, as any indian. We are all Illegal aliens, how are we going to stop the latest ones. If we always had the closed door policy that this is suggesting then none of us would be here. As far as the "we dont need any more taxi drivers or 7-11 owners" the imigrant from Pakistan have been one of the most successful imigrant groups to ever reach our shores. 5) As for "no students over 21" have you never heard of grad school? We are rapidly falling behind in the education race. India a nation we refer to as 3rd world has a better college system than the United States in many fields. 6)Becoming energy self-sufficient is an excellent plan that many people have been working at for years and bush has tried to block several times. As far as drilling for Oil in Alaska, seriously why? havent we done enough to destroy the environment. There isnt enough Oil there to dramaticly change oil prices or extend how long we can survive on oil. A much more sensible alternative to start with is BioDiesel and then Ethanol for gas vehicles.7) Offering OPEC $10 a barrel and expecting them to cave first, think about it if we stopped getting oil then it would take quite some time for them to run out of money yet our entire infastrucure would colapse in relatively short order.8) And not helping people who are in need, well thats just heartless. 9) what have you got against the UN? im not really sure what there is to dislike about an international organization to try to prevent wars and atrocities.10) this is just silly, we are called the Ugly Americans because of our policies of screwing other nations with no regard for anythign but profits. beauty is more than skin deep. As for the english part, once again a lot of our ancestor couldn't speak english when they got here either, if we don't at least give them time to learn then we are simply hypocrites.I hope this does not represent your true feeling as I would hate to see another wonderful child grow up in a home without tolerance for others. Please don't teach xenophobia and hatred to the next generation there is nothing to be gained. I know that your husband can be pesimistic of others but I really though you were above that. Please just think about what this list is really promoting.

The Beer Quote

The Raw Story
So as usual it comes down to the Blogs to report the news. This time its about the MSM "updating" a story to remove a line about beer being at the picnic before the now infamous shooting. This is such a perfect symbol of the entire administration. They do some thing wrong, then try not to tell any one, then blam it on the victim, and finially change all the "facts" to fit the final story they came up with. next they'll say that he shot his friend to protect the people from terrorists.

Feingold tells it like it is

last one for the day.
Feingold tells it like it is
This is the Feingold speach durring the Gonzalas hearing. Its pretty strong, this is one Dem that can still find his balls when he needs em. Now if we can get the rest of them on board we might have something to cheer about. He never quite said Impeachment but he'd have my vote for president in '08 if he had uttered that one word. As it is I its between him and Hillary.

Kick some ass Feingold, you start swinging and we'll have your back. They will kick you everytime you fall but we'll help you back up and hopefully the other dems might come to your side and join in the brawl. Keep Fighting, were with you.

Military budget / Zinn

The Progressive
God damn people, we now spend almost as much on our millitary as the rest of the world combined. Or of the total that the world spends on militaries the US accounts for 47% of it. So if were at 500 billion dollars a year then the wolrd must spend about a trillion dollars a year on Arms and Millitary. Imagine all of the usefull things the world could do with a trillion dollars a year. No Child would ever go to bed hungry, anywhere.

Ok this is a two-fer, The Progressive also had an article by Howard Zinn. If you don't know Zinn then you need to go buy a People's History of the United States. if you cant afford it then e-mail me ill loan you my spare copy, but read this book. So anyway I dont feel that I have the right to so much as sum up an article by Howard Zinn he is one of my favorite authors and an increadible asset to our cause. Please read the article. I cannot do it justice.

The Progessive

Ok Next paycheck im getting a subscription to the Progressive. This is from their e-mails. I think Ive got a link to their website but here is the e-mail in full. There is one simple Idea that I really like, all it takes is a few people to stand on a street corner and protest, maybe do it once a week. But if people did this in every town in america then people might start to get the idea. Thanks to The Progessive.

Dear Friend,
I just came back from a visit to supporters of The Progressive in the Seattle area.
One of the highlights was joining a picket line at the main intersection in Mt. Vernon, which is a little more than an hour north of Seattle.
Every work day a few hardy peace activists gather there to protest the Iraq War.
On Friday, I was one of six, enough to have all four corners covered.
One protester, Scott Morgan, held up a huge yellow plastic sign with the words "Impeach Them All" written in large, black letters.
Bill Johanson, who has made up 81 signs on 41 boards, handed me a "War Is Not the Answer" sign to hold. He was carrying one that he hoped would stir things up a little: "Bush Freedom Is Spelled F-A-S-C-I-S-M."
Protesting, he says, "keeps me going."
Jerry Sommerseth, who gives piano lessons when he's not picketing, says he's been at this corner of Kincaid and 1st Street for 20 years now, starting as a protester against Reagan's war in Central America. Sommerseth gave me his business card, which says on the bottom: "War is Terrorism."
The reaction from the cars going by was primarily positive. Deymian LeSar, who held a "Moms for Peace" sign, said that's the way it always is.
I left this little lively picket feeling energized and encouraged.
And I thought, if even six people with protest signs could gather at the main intersection of every town in America once a week or so, we might be out of Iraq a whole lot faster.

A few days ago, on our website, I posted a story that really rankles me. It's about Laura Berg, a VA nurse in Albuquerque for the last 15 years, who wrote a letter to the editor of her local weekly that was critical of the Bush Administration. For that, her supervisors seized her computer and investigated her for--get this!--"sedition." Is this what our country is coming to?
My colleague Amitabh Pal also has posted his analysis of the insatiable budget of Bush's Pentagon. I think you'll find that one interesting, as well.
And if you haven't read Russ Feingold's powerful speech indicting both Bush and Congress, you can find it at the bottom of my article "Feingold Tells It Like It is."
As always, I hope this material is useful to you.

Award Time

Thank you to Stephen Colbert and BartCop for this Quote.

"It's time for an award to John Boehner. Mr. Boehner was elected to reform House Republicans, who are feeling the heat from lobbyist scandals. Well, he rents his apartment from a lobbyist who had clients who had interests in legislation that Boehner sponsored. And for that, Mr. Boehner, you've just won a pair of Stephen Colbert's big brass balls."
-- Stephen Colbert,

I Steal from the Poor and give to the Rich

I just got this in my E-mail from Hillary Clinton (you can sign up if you want, Barbra Boxer has a good one too) and I'm sure it illegal in some way for me to post it but whatever Im giving credit to Its source and Im sure she wouldn't care.

Robin Hood was a fool, theres no money to be made by giving to the poor, well I'm sure he skimmed a little off the top to make ends meet but Bush has got the plan down. You rob the poor then give tax breaks and No-Bid Contracts to the rich and they will give you some serious Kick backs. I mean obviously its working, just look at the Bush bankroll. That family is freaking loaded. So anyway here is what Hillary had to say about one of the latest reverse robin hood scemes of Bushs'.

Dear Friend,
Once again, the message is "you are on your own."
President Bush's budget calls for taking the $255 Social Security death benefit away from people who have just lost a loved one and cutting off the monthly Social Security survivor benefits of 16 and 17-year olds if they're no longer in school.
Ok I can see the idea is to keep kids in school but damn man thats still harsh to cut off a 16 yo orphans Social Security
George W. Bush wants to produce Social Security "savings" over the next decade at the expense of widows and orphans, even as he lavishes trillions of dollars in tax cuts on the wealthy and well-connected.
These proposals - like so many other wrong-headed ideas in Bush's 2006 budget - are morally and fiscally bankrupt. And I pledge to you that I will do everything in my power to make sure they never see the light of day.
And if anyone is still asking you just what's wrong with George Bush's leadership, tell them about his latest budget. Tell them what you think of a president who wants to cut back on the meager benefits available to the most vulnerable while he goes on rewarding the most comfortable.
Hillary '08!!
We thought the president got the message last year when Congress stopped his scheme to privatize Social Security. But, when it comes to protecting the health and well-being of America's families, this administration just doesn't get the message.
I dont think he understands that some people actually care about others well being, sometimes even more that our own wallets.
And, when people need our government to be there for them the most, this White House is painfully slow to act. That's the inescapable conclusion at which even Republican investigations of the response to Hurricane Katrina have arrived.
It's hard to judge which is doing more harm - their calculated proposals like denying benefits to widows and orphans or their mind-boggling incompetence. But, one thing's for sure. We can't let America's families bear the brunt of either their bad ideas or their stunning failures of execution.
Throughout 2006, the health and well-being of our families is on the line. That's why we've got to work as hard as we have ever worked to win the pivotal policy debates and electoral contests of this dramatically important year.
We stopped the attack on Social Security last year, and we will stop them again. Thank you, as always, for your support. It means a lot to know I can count on you to stand with me as we take on these challenges.

Hillary Rodham Clinton

If she is even half sincere about half the stuff she says she'd still make a decent president.
I also need to point out that yesterday we were going over grand proposals and different social programs and my friend pointed out how often he sees Bill Clinton being mentioned as providing funding for these programs and that the only time he sees Bushs name is for Funding that was cut. Just a little observation. Oh I work in a non-profit social services agency so we do look at that stuff quite often.

Cindy Sheehan, still fighting...

Cindy Sheehan
Aparently Bush made some comment about how if Cindy Sheehan wanted to show up to some speech he was giving she would have to deal with Barbra, which shows a real strengh of character. If you pick on me Ill get my Mommy after you. And Barbra Bush has always been know as a real tough one....
So this is Cindys response which of course is quite strong, as she highly motivated for obvious reasons, and If you dont know Cindy Sheehan and her story, then Welcome to Earth, its not always so hostile you may need to give it a few years and we'll straighten things out. So anyway its a good little rant against Bush.

Rove and Abramoff sittin in a tree...

The Guardian
Ok I need to get going but I just wanted to post this quick, its about Abramoffs friends saying he talked about Karl Rove often and that he had closer ties than Rove would like to admit. The house of cards built on hypocricy and lies it falling, and it can't happen to soon.

The New Dark Ages

Another great article from Thomas Paine's Corner. This one just lays into the religious right and religion in general, theres a lot of great stuff here and I highly recomend reading it and any thing else that comes from Paine's corner. Heres one little paragraph that I liked.

Fundamentalism rots the brain. Religion keeps us ignorant. And rotting brains and ignorance in high places endangers the human species. And so, the inmates have taken over the asylum.
Thank You Jason for posting this and thanks to Jozef Hand-Boniakowski for writing it.

Common Dreams is kickin ass this mornin'

This is the third article from Common Dreams this morning that Ive commented on. They e-mail Daily headlines and obviously some days they do quite a good job, sign up if you'd like.

But back to the article, The Government Accountablity Office, which is almost a laughable title given the administration, has released that It has spent 1.6 Billion dollars in the last two and a half years on PR, now why would the government need to spend that kind of money on PR? A whole lot of people could have been given health care for 1.6 billion dollars, that would have made for good PR. Or actually fund the No Child Left Behind bill that would have been good for Relations. You can spend all the money in the world trying to spin your misdeads into victory but it is probably more finacially viable just to try to do a little bit of good with that money and then people will like you even without the PR blitz. But we'll have to wait till '09 to show them how that works.

Im not done with this story just yet.
Common Dreams
As you probably well know Cheney and Bush have been avid gun supporters. The link above contains text from Cheneys speach at an NRA meeting. Im a big fan of the constitution and Im Ok with people haveing guns but Im also just fine with having tight controls over who can have one. I need to pass a test to drive a car right? Thats a good thing, in the wrong hands a car can be very dangerous. A gun on the other hand is designed to Kill, its only purpose it to put destroy and yet I could walk to the store today and go buy one. There should be a test you need to take, just like a drivers test before you can own a gun. Next up is the assult rifle ban which wasnt particularly effective but it was a good idea that Jr. let expire to please his base of fundamentalist christians that just love killin', yeah theres something weird about that to me but what do I know. Lets use my car annalogy again I cant go buy an F1 car and throw a plate on it and drive around, It's not legal for that its ment for a race track and thats where it will drive. An Assult rifle is not for hunting its for War its not designed for civilian use so it shouldn't be legal. If you need full auto capablities for hunting then you should probably find a new hobby. This is just common sence here, yes I believe in freedom but I dont think I should be allowed to carry an IED or a vile of anthrax around either, those things are designed to kill people and nothing else and for the exact same reason, assult rifles should be illegal.

Of note, its a damn good thing Cheney wasnt hunting with an assult rifle cause his buddy would be dead right now. actually its probably a good thing that Cheney didnt have a bigger shotgun, someone told me it was a 28 gauge but im guessing they missheard the report because Ive never heard of anything smaller than a 20 gauge. So is the NRA going to be angry at Dick Cheney for giving hunting a bad name? will they attack him for not following the most obvious of safety percautions like, know where your hunting partner is. There are now alligations that he didnt even have a hunting permit.

Oh what I wouldnt give to be that game warden... please come with me Mr. Vice President we need to have a litte chat...
ger..er.. uh yeah see ive got a permit...
Well Sir no no you dont and so heres your fine for illegal hunting and here is the police to charge you with assult with a deadly weapon. have a nice day, oh and if thats not returned in 30 days the fine doubles an there will be a warrent for your arrest, and your not a difficult man to fine so I suggest you pay it.

ID implants

Common Dreams
Ok I know I've been on a bit of a Orwellian trip lately but seriously, this is scary. The people who build these chips that get implanted under the skin claim its acceptable as long as it isnt mandatory but if your job tells you that you need one installed to work there is that acceptable? its not to me. If they started forcing those I would have one nasty scar because I would dig it out like a splinter with my good old swiss army knife. I can't even grasp how frightening an idea this is. This is just straight out of a crappy sci-fi movie.

Monday, February 13, 2006

Ive been reading 1984 again. that should explain a bit of whats below. I think Bush is reading it too. Difference is that I think that book is a terrifiying vision of the future if we dont limit government power, while Bush just thinks its full of great ideas...

Republican Agenda

The problems of the middle east

Spittle and Ink
I've never been completely sure that I like this site but when they had a pre-home page (im not sure what the term is for that) that was simply a pink screen that said "your official sam alito is gay homepage" those were the days....
But anyway they have an article, the link is above, that I found quite interesting. It starts off talking about the latest comments from crazy ass Ann Coulter and then gets into a rather benine comment, by Coulter standards, which was, "I made a few jokes at muslims, they killed 3,000 americans." The article gets into how thats correct we made fun of the muslim world and then they blew up up. Here is the simple statement that sums up so much of the problem in the middle east.

9/11 happened because of the US's refusal to deal with Muslims on the world stage as equals. It's that fucking simple.

Thats it, yeah theres other issues too but it would be a whole lot easier to deal with those if we changed that one. Oh the other important part was, stop pissing of Arabs.
Thanks to Spittle and Ink for this one.

The Long War

Is bush reading Orwell? cause this just reaks of 1984. Soon we'll see him with a banner behind him reading War is Peace and the pentagon will be renamed the Ministry of love.

cheney tha snipa'

editor and publisher
So this is the bush administration and so of course theres more to the story than a simple vice president shooting a lawyer. Really the only weird part is why did they wait for a journalist to call them for confirmation rather than just tell everyone? if it was simply a hunting accident then its pretty minor, everyone will make jokes for a couple days and then we'll get back to hating bush for all the other things like whats now being called "the long war." Why not just admit it? why would they wait almost an entire day in an age where an hour is an eternity? all of us who hate this administration are going to question it but who knows could this be orchistrated like everything else, are they just playing us trying to distract us for a few day? Eh it was probably just an accident and they were to chicken shit to fess up. so lets hope that the guy is ok, it is a 78 year old man who just got a load of pellets to the face and chest. And lets get back to worrying about important matters.

Cheney shoots a lawyer

Now heres a program I can actually get behind. I never thought I'd support Cheney in anything but I like the new "war on lawyers." Think of the money this country would save on insurance and medical care if there were a Lawyer season, you'd have to get tags like you would for a deer. they could hand out ones for personal injury lawers like doe tags. I'm not a huge fan of hunting but I might even get myself a shot gun when this season opens up. Would it be illegal to bait them? maybe have an ambulance with its lights going, and just wait for someone to come up with a business card... eh.. takes all the sport out of it. Wait what? you mean it was an accident? he was hunting birds and he shot a lawyer? was he shooting pidgeons on wall street? oh it was his friend and they were hunting. Well with friends like that who needs enemys? But seriously they are wondering if this is going to hurt him politically, I doubt it, the people who are against hunting already have so many far more important reasons to hate him and those who like hunting are the same ones who think that Saddam was resonsible for 9/11 and sure they'll make fun of him for not being a better hunter but in the end they will still follow blindly where ever bush tells them.
thanks for the pic and the article. heres the link

Poetic Remi

A great article from a site i wish I had found earlier.
oh well thats the general site but this is the article I was talking about.
What would jesus do
This is about the muslim riots over the cartoons and freedom of speech. So the question is basicly if they printed pictures of jesus sodomizing a school boy and said "got catholisism?" would people be angry. but theres more to this than just that. First your holy land is taken from you and you are contantly attacked for fighting to get it back. They just destoryed an innocent nation that is run by your people. you get called a terrorist anywhere you go. So then some asshole runs a little comic about your savior being a terrorist (i know mohammed was a profet not the massia but bear with me) and you just finally snap. It makes sence, people get angry about the huge issues like the war but its just so big that you cant really wrap your mind around it, something like a comic is little its tangible and so it becomes the cataylst for so much other anger that has been building up. The comic itself is probably about 2% of what they are mad about. Its like the rodney king riots, it had a little bit to do with rodney king and a lot to do with the general state of life in L.A. To quote Sublime,

But if you look at the streets, it wasn't about Rodney King

It's this fucked-up situation and these fucked-up police

It's about comin' up and stayin' on top

And screamin' 1-8-7 on a mother fuckin' cop

It's ain't in the paper, it's on the wall.

Its the same thing with these riots, sure they are mad about a cartoon but they are fucking pissed off about the state of the world, and I can't really blam them for that. But of course I do have to say that violence is the worse possible reaction to this event. Muslims are already stereotyped as a violent people so to riot because of a cartoon no matter what the other reasons does not help the situation.
I also have to say that as rude as the comic was I still am a very adiment believer of freedom of speech. If your angry about the comic then cancel your subcription. write a letter to the editor what ever but dont burn an embesy.

General Spying

Common Dreams
So the government is working on being able to monitor the web, blogs and even e-mail. sweet. I have simply come to the point where I just assume that all of my phone calls, e-mails, writings, pretty much everything is monitored. Dont get me wrong they probably arent that good yet, but why not be prepared? Big Brother is watching you, and your going to commit thought crime so why not practice before so we can at least survive for a while before we get vanished? Its like talking to a drug dealer on the phone, they always assume that someone is listening, well the ones that arent in jail assume that. They dont know for sure but its better to be paranoid. I also would have assumed that they monitor the web and blogs, and thats understandable because they are publicly availble so they're allowed to watch, but e-mail thats a different story. Im sure they have monitored the snail mail of people in the past so they'll monitor the e-mails now. I think its wrong and anyone who authorizes it is destroying the constitutuion and therefore commiting treason against this nation and should be punished accordingly.
So this program is all about connecting the dots, so that if you go to the ACLU website your a terrorist but if you then go to the GOP webite and sign in then you were only researching. If you go to an Buzzflash site then the ACLU then maybe you look at a hunting rifle for your Uncle then your an informed terrorits with a plot to assainate. Luckily Bush wont read the memo so you be ok, unless DHS can pullit head out of its ass, hahaha just kidding DHS will never pull its head out of its ass.
So at least acording to this article they claim the security feature is that if it thinks your a terrorist it will alert an analyst to look into wither or not your a terrorist. So the computer will spit out a name of a terrorist and the the agent will go prove that the person is one? Im sure its going to be innocent untill proven guilty thats how our country does it remeber? just ask the folks at Gitmo. And in case you were worried that this was some leftist creation that had loaded this down with privacy protection that would destroy the minds of the children, be not afraid as
"At this point, ADVISE has no funding for privacy technology."
So don't worry well get those bleeding heart terrorist over at green peace oh yeah.
Bleeding Heart Terrorist thats got a nice ring to it...

Al, i think you picked the wrong fight

My only problem with this cartoon is that is says "a fascist in the supreme court" and we all know that should be plural. But seriously Al has been in a lot of political fights but this is just the wrong time to be going after a cartoon. Between the Danish/Islam fight and the Joint Cheifs going after a cartoon making fun of rumsfeld, thats two groups that Al does not want to be mixed up with. Just let it go Al, when the world hasnt had a riot over a cartoon in a while then pick an offensive cartoon to go after, but give it some time, and dont worry there will be more offensive cartoons later on too.

Thanks to Bartcop for this, Im sure this isnt the proper way to do this but I'll at least give credit.http://www.bartcop.com/

Jasons at it again

no not that guy in the mask that just wont die, Jason Miller I got about 3 sentences into his lastest and knew It was going to be a good one so im linking to it now
double plus ungood
ok part of why i was imediatly draw to this one is that im reading 1984 again and this is in refference to the "liberal media" thats owned by a few extreamly rich conservatives, which he refers to as the Ministry of Truth. this one is long and i hope to get to finish reading it tonight.

Good stuff and thank you Jason.

Ever heard of Glenn Beck? me either...

Media Matters
So CNN which the conservatives think is liberal media has some new radio host this Glenn Beck. He negatively compares Jimmy Carter to Kim Jong II, Britney Spears and Pamela Anderson among others. So first question, Who the fuck is Glenn Beck? second question, do I care who Glenn Beck is? All I know is that some media outlet allows this creature to speak its mind and there for he has a level of influence in this country. Im not saying he doesnt have the right to say it, you can say what ever you want in this country, and the CIA is probably going to record it illegally, but its ok to say it. But its up to the consumers to use the power of the wallet to say im not going to buy from anyone who advertises on CNN untill they remove this him from the air. thats supply and demand, we demand it with a loud enough voice and they will supply his resignation. (I know thats not what supply and demand means, is a joke, ass)

Coretta's funeral

Quote of the Day
"We know now there were no WMDs over there [standing ovation]... but Coretta knew and we know that there are weapons of misdirection right down here. Millions without health insurance. Poverty abounds. For war, billions more but no more for the poor."
-- Reverend Dr. Joseph Lowery, smacking Der Monkey's oil greed at Coretta's funeral, in front of 4 presidents,Link
This is from

CIA leak

yeah remember this one? someone in the white house commited treason by leaking a CIA operatives name to the press to get someone else to stop bad mouthing the presidents lack of reasons for war. Ill assume you havent forgoten or else you just did a quick "oh yeah that never did get resolved." Well godd 'ol scooter is up on the stand and is saying that he was authorized by chenney to disclose the information to the press. THANK YOU LIBBY!! now maybe im missing some thing but that sounds to me like it was Chenny who caused the leak, and according to the law if you so much as mention a CIA operatives name when its not required, even if your talking to someone else with clearance it is treason. so if these two were sitting around talking about plaime for any reason besides official CIA shit then they are in a world of hurt. oh sorry thet Should be in a world of hurt. As we all know there is only one punishment for treason in this country, and if we executed Chenney then we could impeach bush without getting stuck with something more vial. Of course I dont really know what the speaker of the house is like. maybe we dont want him as president but he might be better thatn bush, and its something Id be willing to gamble on. Hell i cant even think of the name of the speaker of the house but theres about a 97% chance hes less evil than bush, except hes a republican which lowers the odds to maybe 65% but Id rather try something I dont know that stick with something I know is bad.
Da Crooks and Da Liar's

pics from Super Bowl sunday on carson street

I realize these pics are very dark but it was night and the cameras flash only works so far. Im going to try to brighten them up later.

General good times in the streets.

More happyness.

The Weekend pt2- CBGBs

Monday morning we wake up early in Pittsburgh and head back home to Elmira, get home at about 2, change quick and run to my neighbor’s house and go meet up with the band. At about 330 we are all finally together and we pile into vehicles and head towards NYC. Were going to CBGB’s the place of legends. It’s a fairly long ride stuffed in the third row of seats in a Tahoe for 5 hours but its ok were going to CBGB’s.
We hop out of the car a few blocks away because parking in NYC is not always the easiest. We walk along and suddenly as we step out from underneath construction scaffolding there it is the infamous white awning with the classic red lettering CBGB’s & OMFUG. We could hardly contain our excitement. We unload our gear from the double-parked truck and bring the gear inside. Id been told that the place was small and they weren’t lying. It’s the standard city lot, twenty feet wide, fairly deep compared to many places but still a small place for concerts. The entire place is sorta black but with band stickers covering every available surface. One end of the bar itself if snapped in half length-wise and caving in. The entire place just fills you with a since of being real, its not the typical bar that goes out and buys a bunch of crap for conversation pieces or whatever, no this is real. It reminded me of a bar/hotel in Elkhart Lake that is very similar but with a racecar theme instead of the bands but the same thing, old and historic. The stickers on the walls and ceilings were put there by the bands or the drivers respectively. Its quite a place and I urge anyone who thinks that the best way to see a band is in a tiny little bar where you can walk right up to the stage, please at least go check out the site and buy some merch or donate. They are trying to raise money or they will have to close down.

A couple of bands played and then it was time for the Elmira bands to play. First up was Assasi-Nation.
I think his site is “Myspace.com/assasinationusa I need to double-check this.
Assasi-Nation is particularly badass because it’s a one-man band. This crazy bastard just stands up there and sings while playing guitar and kicking the hell out of a kick-drum or the cymbals, and he’s pretty good too.
Next up was EPD this is my neighbor’s band EPD stands for Elmira Punk Division, there pretty good. There on the heavy end of the punk scale, which wasn’t perfect for the crowd at CBGBS, the day we were there because the local band that people actually knew was an Emo band. The more emo folks didn’t really get so into Assasi-nation and EPD but oh well we had a blast and it was clearly the greatest moment thus far for either band. I know EPD also has a myspace site but I’m not sure of the address. Then it was over and the people slowly dispersed. We loaded up the gear and for the third time that day I was starring at the prospect of a 4+ hour drive. Well our convoy got split up a little but we figured it would be Ok all we needed to do was get out of the city and then find a highway and head back home. Well we got out of the city just fine but we missed the highway and soon found ourselves traveling up I-95 through Connecticut. At this point we stopped to find someone with a map. The guy from Assasi-Nation was driving and he was pretty exhausted so I took over driving. It was around 2am when I took the wheel and I wasn’t terribly concerned about running into police and traffic was on the light side, we made decent time. Actually despite our taking the scenic route and checking out Stanford we still manage to get back to Elmira about 10 miles ahead of the other 2 cars. Hahaha, and they called one of the other drivers Johnny lightening ha. That’s not a bust on Johnny cause he’s actually pretty chill. So right about 6am I pulled up in front of my apartment and said goodbye. Then I was back at work at 830 ok so maybe it was more like 845-850 but I made it. That was one hell of a weekend.

The Weekend pt1- Pittsburgh

I'm a little late in writing this but it took a little time to recover from what was probably the coolest/craziest weekend of my life.
Well it started off with a simple trip to Hornell NY where a few old college friends were hanging out, no big deal. Get up in the AM and head home. Then I get packed and head to Corning to meet the parents and head down to Pittsburgh to watch the super bowl and partake in the revelries. It was incredible. My sister lives on Carson Street, if you’ve ever been to Pittsburgh then I hope you know Carson Street, it’s on the south side and it’s where the whole strip of bars are. Ok for those of you who haven’t been to Pittsburgh lets just say that the police barricaded all of the bridges, save one, to basically quarantine the south side to contain the riots if things got out of control.
The game itself was great, although even in Pittsburgh we realized that people were going to b pissed at the referees. During the game the street was empty everyone who was from there said it was kind of eerie to see the street completely empty. Before the game it had been closed by the police because they knew everyone would pour out of the bars after the game to celebrate in the street. It began snowing during the game, not a lot of snow but just enough to make the street pretty slick. Then it happened, the clock hit zero and the game was over, the Steelers had one it. We take off downstairs into the streets and thousands of others are doing the same. I have never seen so many people simply overflowing with joy. Everything was black and gold and screaming and jumping around. You could simply run down the street and someone going the other way would run towards you and give you a huge hug usually with one of the people ending up being lifted off the ground, Ok I was usually the one doing the lifting, but not always and I'm not a little guy. I walked up and down the street just trying to take it all in. If you just walked straight up the street about every other person within arms reach would give you a high five and then maybe one in ten would just give you a hug, One girl even had the big hug and then jump up and down kinda thing going on, and she was pretty damn cute too. So for this one moment in time an entire city forgot about all of its problems and concerns and just celebrated a victory. I have never had so many hugs from random strangers in my life. The terrible towels were waving and the people were singing for hours, Pittsburgh just won the super bowl, here we go. There was a little band that showed up and just started playing the Steelers songs. All normal social barriers had broken down, it didn’t matter what race, religion, sex, sexuality, or economic status you were, if you had on black and gold then you were kin. It was truly amazing. This went on for several hours and the raw energy was only slightly below the initial exuberance of the night. Then the Police had enough and closed down the party.
I had never really seen riot police before. It was an interesting experience. I need to reiterate something here, notice that I had mentioned hugs and songs I never mentioned so much as a single fist being swung, hands were flying for high fives not in anger. Now admittedly I was only one person along probably a half-mile stretch but I did walk almost the entire length at different times without seeing a single incident. Well there was a guy getting dragged down the middle of the street but his feet and an arm but he was still yelling “Go Steelers, Ill assume it was his friends dragging him, oh remember it had snowed and the road was slick enough that being dragged on your butt wouldn’t hurt. So back to the cops, it was around midnight I believe when we spotted the classic wall of police carrying shields and clubs walking shoulder to shoulder down the street. This was the only time I saw people start acting out, people began yelling at the
cops. The mounted police were there I nearly got stepped on by a Clydesdale while I was walking down the side walk. I couldn’t grasp how this officer could tell me that I couldn’t walk any further in that direction, what right did he have so tell me what I could do? I had broken no laws I was simply walking down the sidewalk. But when that person is brandishing a weapon and is sitting on an animal that probably weighs close to a ton, then you listen wither they are right or not. I had assumed the police were simply clearing the road to allow traffic to start back up. It had not occurred to me that they were shutting down everything. The bars were forced to close and everyone had to leave. In the police’s defense I never saw any one being injured by the police either but we didn’t hang around them for very long to see what was going to happen. So as far as I could see we had a peaceful celebration being broken up under martial law. There were arrests, they claimed only 8 I heard latter but we watched them unload people out of a patty wagon and into a city buss because they needed something larger to hold all of the people. They were probably only detaining them and not arresting them but in my book if the police put you in cuffs and put you in jail then they damn well better have a reason I don’t care if its an arrest or not. So the most amazing celebration I have ever had the privilege of taking part in was broken up by force. Thanks….

Breakin the law Breakin the law...

So if king george gets away with the domestic spying program then I think people every where should just stop paying attention to laws. If our president doesnt have to obey the law then why should I? Speed limits impair commerce because goods could be moved more quickly if semi's were going 120 mph everywhere they go. Therefore its wrong to limit the speed of cars. what else how about drug laws they limit my pursuit os happyness and therefor go against the declaration of independence which is good enough for me, fuck all drug laws. Id say gun laws but Alito is going to try to repeal all of those when he gets the chance.
If we allow illegal spying then what the fuck lets just throw out everything and just give good old Anarchy a try? or is anarchy only allowed for the top of the oligarcy?
So ive been a bit bitter lately with my posts, so if you want a much better researched and more inteligent look at the spying then read this letter.

Robertsons back

da Crooks and da Liars
Well my plan is going into effect more quickly than I thought. On wensday i say im going to threaten any leader that threatens others, so here we are two days latter and who is it but good old god fearing (?) Pat Roberston who is rekindleing the fire that we should assasinate the President of Venevuela. Its funny how a guy who won his election and has 70% approval rating gets called a dictator and a guy who lost his first election by half a million votes and is barely over a 40% approval has a mandate to be president. Also funny how a supposed christian is calling on us to kill a man. Also strange how a supposed man of god hates Chavez whos great crime has been to try to improve the lives of his people, what a bastard. Doesnt Chaves know jesuses teaching, that there is no greater virtue than unadulterated gread? God is vengeful of those who try to help those less fortunate, just look at what happened to Jesus after he tried to help the meek, and that was his own son. So chavez who is trying to help an entire country of people, wow he better watch out our god is really going to be cruel to him, maybe even make him listen to a Pat Robertson sermon. AHHH!! even god isnt that cruel.

Oh I almost forgot Chavez's other great crime, he wants there to be a War Crimes trial. Pat Robertson should let him know that there is only a War crimes trial for the side that loses, and seeing as this was a one sided war and the leader of the losing country is already on trial I dont think theres anyone left to try over there. See the USA can't go to trial cause we won. And just like the trials after WWII the rules are that if the loser did anything mean that the winner didnt do then its illegal (ok thats dumbing it down but thats basicly how the trials went). Seeing as the only bad things the losing side did were guerilla warfare to free itself from an occupying force which is perfectly acceptable under international law (thats how our country was formed) we can't try them. And the USA won well a few companies won the rest of america lost or maybe came out neutral, so we cant really be tried. Im not saying we shouldnt be, Id love nothing more than seeing Bush Cheney and the rest of the Fuckers on trial for there lives in front of an international panel some of them Arabs and Blacks, imagine it for a moment and then try not to giggle with joy.

OH I almost forgot, I need to threaten to kill Robertson because he threatened to kill Chavez, again. Well this isnt a creative target for Robertson hes treatened to kill him before so I think ill use an old method of killing, but should it be crucifixion or stoning, I think stoning. Ok thats the plan Pat Robertson Im going to drag your ass to Venezuela and have you stoned to death by the Chavez supporters while Hugo and I... hmm what should Hugo and I be doing while we watch Pat (or Marion which is his "christian" name) being stoned? maybe just sit back and drink some iced tea and throw some darts, at Marion.

And guys in black suits with no expressions if your reading this, well seriously I'm not a threat, maybe you should be listening in on organizations whose leaders promote political assasination like the Christian Broadcasting Network, or the Christian Coalition, seriously there is a dangerous man leading both of those groups you might want to "silence" him, permanently if you want.

Ann Coulter

WARNING: this one gets a bit angry and slightly graphic.
No seriously this ones a little harsh...

Crazy ass Coulter
Ok Im probably a little late on this one, but what the fuck is wrong with Ann Coulter? She made a joke about poisoning a supreme court justice. Doesnt that strike you as odd? not that the crazy bitch said it but that she still has job. I mean granded no one takes Coulter seriously, but still shes a for some odd reason famous person who makes an unapolgetice comment like that and our "liberal" media just lets it slide. Well here Ann Ive got a joke for you, I hope someone sneaks into your house and slices your gut open then uses your small intestine for a noose and throws you out the window, hahaha just kidding. See my generation might be laking in a lot of things creative but our leaders have instilled in us a magnificent imagination towards inflicting pain and suffering without the least remorse. Video games didn't destroy my abiliyt to care for others, the republicans did.
I think maybe ill do that, Ill just start threatening to kill every republican that threatens to kill someone else. If im allowed to go back a little id like to tell Pat Robertson that Im going to go buy a assualt rifle, which the government has no right to try to limit the sale of according to our newest Supreme Court Justice, and shoot you in the face a few times, maybe Hugo Chavez will come to the funeral and take a shit on your grave.
For you at the FBI/NSA/DHS/CIA/secrect service these were only jokes and are no more or less of threats than what was said by Ann Coulter and Pat Robertson and therefore if I am now going to be considered a threat than I hope you have a file a foot thick on the two terrorist that I just mentioned. Thanks and enjoy your coffee.
